About Us

This website provides information to do with human balance; physiological, psychological and spiritual. We discuss these categories of balance from development to assessment to techniques and tools for improving balance. We share with you leading edge information on how to develop and refine your physical balance, whether for competitive sports or to simply live a better life.  If you have information to share please let us know.

What’s Wrong With This Picture?

There is an inherent problem with labeling any article as exploratory journalism. The two words almost seem to contradict one another. On the one hand we head into the unknown with a rough course and open mind. On the other hand we are aware of the standards necessary for proper reporting. How do we qualify our findings in this field? Where are the reference sources to quote for something new and emerging that has yet to be validated, cataloged, and scientifically pressed with the stamp of authenticity. Men of science and medicine have never predicted the emergence of new sports. Competition has been studied to a fine art but the concept of fun has never been analyzed (at least not to my knowledge).

Fun appears to be the natural way to create.

Practitioners of sports or fun activities, as a rule, never ask for permission, never get approval, never listen to nay-sayers, and disregard conventional boundaries.

They just do it.

Through trial and error they get it right. They cross-feed ideas from like-minded people and apparently unrelated disciplines. Who then do we ask permission from to quote when we follow the adventures of individuals who don’t even have the word permission in their vocabulary? What we see time and again at BalanceScience are ordinary people putting together ideas and figuring stuff out for themselves. We are also finding very old wisdom in the world. Neither fit the scientific criteria perfectly so whatever we report will, by its nature, appear suspect.

What to do in this situation?

We shall forge ahead and seek the answers to human Balance. What we find will prove its validity, initially, by its apparent results. Then we shall seek out ,invite and solicit response from individuals trained and accredited in the healthy management of the body, mind, and soul. We shall raise the question, and invite the debate.
Do you take medical and scientific statement for gospel truth? I don’t. Consider that the current sum of Man’s knowledge, as it stands today, didn’t exist three generations ago or was regarded as superstition and fantasy.

Which brings me to the reason d’etre for BalanceScience. Look around you. Does the world seem balanced? Is there more happiness then yesteryear? By what standard of human living do we mark progress? Do we have more time or less time to live our lives than say some other time earlier in our lives? Does the world appear to be accelerating? Are all the peoples of the world getting closer?

I’m not the first person to comment on this. Every technological marvel and innovation ever created was supposed to be another step forward to a life more easier, more full-filling, and providing more time to grow and experience the wonder of being who we are. Instead, every advance, every mechanical enhancement produced by Man seems to have the singular purpose of filling up yet another small pocket of our precious time and commanding yet another piece of our attention.

So how do we, as a people, respond to our accelerating world? Why, we promote programs to better organize ourselves. What a perfectly logical thing to do, to solve complexity by introducing more complexity with the promise of yielding simplicity. We have fully respected methods to train our minds, and sub-consciousness, enhance the energy of our bodies, and make us think better and faster.

I don’t know about you but the mathematical basis for that bit of reasoning doesn’t sound right.

The fundamental observation remains; things are getting faster. We as people are losing something in the process. Are we to blame for this situation? Some would say so. But we have methods to balance time and work and all the many activities of our mind. We can work our way out of this ,they say, just by doing a few more additional things at the right moment.

What’s wrong with this picture?

Look carefully. If your life is going faster the natural desire is to somehow slow it down. How do professional people and leaders of industry respond? Why, they say, it’s all normal, we have to adjust to it, but here are programs to help you do just that.

Let’s change our point of view and see if we can make sense of this situation. One different observation, another way of thinking and everything could change in the blink of an eye.

Science has proven that the world vibrates and its frequency is speeding up.

The Earth’s frequency or rate of vibration was thought to be constant. When NASA started measuring this in hertz it was at 7.8. Now it is at 11.2,has been measured as high as 14 and is speeding up.

So literally, this may contribute to the feeling of everything speeding up.For the full article refer to: Also referred to as the Schumann Resonance

In response to this a teacher of Yoga might calmly say that the solution would be to meditate. By doing so and focusing on a specific sound you would attune your whole being to be in sync with the changing vibration of the world. Then time, from your viewpoint, would appear to be at your control. You would have tons of it, it would flow at your command. Resultant calmness and clarity of mind would follow. Health benefits would also follow. This is not my idle conjecture, the mind and health benefits have been carefully documented.

Pause a moment and think about that. Which path, assuming both to be of equal validity, makes more sense? What are we trying to accomplish? Balance in our complex lives by adding more complexity or balance by subtracting complexity? The task presented to us then becomes quite straightforward.

Validate which path gives results. Then take the first step on that same path.

The simple act of presenting many possible means to achieve human Balance, albeit without the prerequisite credentials initially, then becomes justifiable. The debate will follow. The proof will be found. All we have to do is keep an open mind. Some people in the world have been working on this same question since the beginning of recorded history. They deserve a decent hear-say. No less deserving of attention are those that study the aspects of what it means to be human and pursue this goal through reason, observation and academic discipline.

Until we have the definitive answer, if that is even possible, I want you the reader to repeat the following mantra quietly to yourself. May it give you comfort while you strive for your personal means of Balance.

If it works for me then it is true for me. I will keep the faith and will not get lost in the words.

Sincerely Yours In Balance

[…] When Politzer asserted that the universe was not created out of nothingness, he was relying on the static universe model of the 19th century, and thinking that he was posing a scientific claim. However, the 20th century’s developing science and technology demolished primitive concepts such as the static universe model that laid the grounds for the materialists. Today, on the brink of the 21st century, modern physics has proved with many experiments, observations and calculations that the universe had a beginning and that it was created out of nothing with a big explosion.
